Phoenix is the fifth-largest city in the United States. I love living here and would highly recommend anyone come to visit to see what this area has to offer. You can conclude I’m not great at math (truth!), but also, that the metro Phoenix area is a great place offering a lot. My plan was to live in Phoenix for three to five years. And, I’m not expecting to live where I move for as long as I lived here but like Phoenix, it has been a good launching point for local travel. However, my next move will be with much more thought and will likely be international. As much as I enjoy living here overall, I admit I have itchy feet yet again for a change. I’m not sure I would have seen as much had I not moved. I’m glad I did decide to move as living in Phoenix has given me a great launching point to see the western part of my country. Also, my immediate family moved away as did several of my closest friends so I felt it was time for a change. I got tired of the snowy and cold winters. But, as much as I love it there and it feels like home. I love Boston, and I’m always homesick for a return visit. I wasn’t sure what I wanted and didn’t really have any requirements, except that I knew I wanted to live in a city where I could find jobs, and somewhere that was very different from where I was living near Boston. You're correct, you would indeed have to make the changes manually, or change to "Set Automatically" while traveling. You had a question about what happens when you travel with the Date & Time set to manual. Maps can even help you find your parked car: How to find your parked car with Maps on your iPhone. You can open up Maps to see your current location. Your device uses location settings to determine your location. For instance if you were in Cleveland, OH, the Automatic setting would show New York for the Time Zone setting. With Automatic time setting it selects a major city that matches your own. This is true during Daylight Savings Time when the time in Phoenix matches at in the Mountain time zone. By showing "Denver" it's not indicating that you're located in Denver, but that your current time matches that of the time in Denver. ![]() When set to Automatic, the time will change when you travel. It appears that anything earlier than CA is consider "yesterday" ). This can be reproduced by manually changing timezones. If set to anything equal or later to California, the calendar entries are correct again.
